The journey begins in Paro, with a visit to the iconic Taktsang monastery (tiger’s nest), perched high on a cliffside. From there, you travel through Bhutan’s capital, Thimphu, and other historic towns like Wangduephodrang and Trongsa, each offering spectacular views of the Himalayas and traditional bhutanese architecture.
As you continue your trek through Bumthang, you’ll pass through forests of pine and rhododendron, picturesque villages, and numerous monasteries such as Ngang Lhakhang, Ugyenchholing, and Mebartsho. DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 01. Arrival in Kathmandu
After arriving in Kathmandu you will be picked up from airport representative and transfer to hotel. Presentation of the staff, briefing with the guides and verification of the equipment. We will serve authentic nepalese cuisine with cultural show in the evening.

Day 02. Kathmandu to Paro (2,280m/7,480ft) by plane
Arrive at Paro international airport. You will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the valley. Explore the surroundings at your own leisure.

Day 03. Paro (2,280m/7,480ft) to Taktsang monastery (3,120m/10,240ft) and back to Paro (2,280m/7,480ft), 5-6 hours
After breakfast, embark on a hike to Taktsang monastery (also known as the tiger’s nest monastery). This iconic bhutanese landmark is set on a cliffside and offers magnificent views of the Paro valley. The hike takes around 5-6 hours round trip.
Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dinner. Overnight: lodge.
Day 04. Paro (2,280m/7,480ft) to Thimphu (2,320m/7,611ft) by car and Thimpu sightseeing
After breakfast, drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. The drive takes approximately 2-3 hours, offering scenic views of the mountains and valleys. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring Thimphu, visiting Memorial chorten, Tashichho Dzong, and the local markets.

Day 05. Thimphu (2,320m/7,611ft) to Wangduephodrang (1,350m/4,429ft) by car
After breakfast, drive to Wangduephodrang, located in central Bhutan. The drive takes around 4-5 hours through picturesque landscapes. Upon arrival, set up camp for the night and enjoy the serene surroundings of the valley.

Day 06. Wangduephodrang (1,350m/4,429ft) to Trongsa (2,260m/7,411ft) and to Bumthang (2,600m/8,530ft) by car
Today, drive to Trongsa, a historic town with the famous Trongsa Dzong. After a visit to the dzong, continue driving to Bumthang, the spiritual heartland of Bhutan. The drive takes around 4-5 hours, with beautiful views along the way. Upon arrival, set up camp for the night.

Day 07. Bumthang: sightseeings
After breakfast, enjoy a full day of sightseeing in Bumthang. Visit the Jambay Lhakhang, Kurjey Lhakhang, and the Tamshing monastery, all significant cultural and religious sites in the region. You will also have the opportunity to explore the charming town of Bumthang.

Day 08. Bumthang (2,600m/8,530ft) to Ngang Lhakhang (2,800m/9,186ft) by car, 4-5 hours
After breakfast, begin your trek to Ngang Lhakhang, located at a high point with sweeping views of the valley. The trek will take approximately 4-5 hours, passing through beautiful forests and charming villages. Once you reach Ngang Lhakhang, visit the monastery.

Day 09. Ngang Lhakhang (2,800m/9,186ft) to Ugyenchholing (2,850m/9,350ft) by car, 5-6 hours
Today, continue your trek to Ugyenchholing. This scenic trek will take about 5-6 hours, offering beautiful views of the valley and its surroundings. Ugyenchholing is home to a monastery and offers a peaceful atmosphere.
Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dinner. Overnight: tent camp.
Day 10. Ugyenchholing (2,850m/9,350ft) to Mebartsho (2,900m/9,514ft), 4-5 hours
After breakfast, trek to Mebartsho, a sacred site in Bhutan. The trek will take approximately 4-5 hours, passing through lovely forests and valleys. Mebartsho is known for its beauty and cultural significance.
Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dinner. Overnight: tent camp.
Day 11. Mebartsho (2,900m/9,514ft) to Wangduephodrang (1,350m/4,429ft) by car
After breakfast, drive back to Wangduephodrang, retracing your journey through the beautiful landscapes of central Bhutan. The drive will take around 4-5 hours.

Day 12. Wangduephodrang (1,350m/4,429ft) to Paro (2,280m/7,480ft), 4-5 hours
After breakfast, trek to Mebartsho, a sacred site in Bhutan. The trek will take approximately 4-5 hours, passing through lovely forests and valleys. Mebartsho is known for its beauty and cultural significance.
Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dinner. Overnight: hotel.
Day 13. Paro (2,280m/7,480ft) to Kathmandu by plane
We will transfer to Paro airport for the departure flight and pickup Kathmandu airport, after arriving hotel. This is the free day for you and you can enjoy yourself around the city.

Day 14. Kathmandu: sightseeing and free shopping
After breakfast take an excursion visit. Today we will go for sightseeing Swyambhunath, Pasupatinath temple, Bouddhanath and Patan. World heritage site and freely shopping day. Evening there will be a typical nepali dinner organized for you in the typical nepali restaurant.

Day 15. Final departure
You will have breakfast and you will be free until your departure. A representative will take you airport for your final departure.
