DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 01. Arrival in Kathmandu
After arriving in Kathmandu you will be picked up from airport representative and transfer to hotel. Presentation of the staff, briefing with the guides and verification of the equipment. We will serve authentic nepalese cuisine with cultural show in the evening.

Day 02. Kathmandu to Lukla (2,850m/9,350ft) by plane and trek to Phakding (2,800m/9,187ft), 3-4 hours
Early in the morning after having breakfast or with packed breakfast we will drive to airport and board a flight to Lukla . After landing in Lukla we will start a downhill walk and make your way through Chauri Kharka village and we further descend to Ghat. From here you will trek to Phakding following the bank of Dudh Koshi river.

Day 03. Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280ft), 5-6 hours

Following the banks of Dudh Koshi River the trail takes us to Tok Tok. From here one can see the excellent view of Thamserku peak. Further continuing the trail climbs to Monjoo and then enters to Sagarmatha national park. Walking some distance uphill you will arrive to Jhorsalle and after this we will cross a bridge and witnessing the magical panorama of Everest and Nuptse we will ultimately arrive to Namche Bazaar.

Day 04. Namche Bazaar: acclimatization day

After having breakfast we will do some sightseeing around Namche and then hike to Everest View hotel for the outstanding view of Everest, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Kangtega, Thamserku, Kusum Kangaru, Khongde and Khumbi. Later we will make your way to Khumjung valley where you can see Hillary school, ancient monastery with Yeti skull and Khunde hospital. After this we will retrace your path back to Namche bazaar.

Day 05. Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m/12,697ft), 5-6 hours

After having breakfast we will continue the trek through the forest to Kenjoma where the trail joins from Khumjung. After passing the village of Sanasa the trail descends to Phunki Tenga. Then again the trail climbs steeply through the forest to Tenboche monastery. From here we will witness the stimulating Himalayan panorama of Kwangde, Tawachee, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Kantega and Thamserku.

Day 06. Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360m/14,305ft), 5-6 hours

Leaving Tengboche behind us we will descend through the forest, cross Imja Khola and make a steady uphill climb to the village of Pangboche. The village offers the extraordinary view of Ama Dablam along with the hodgepodge of many other peaks. A further two hours of walk from here takes us to Pheriche and further to Dingboche.

Day 07. Dingboche: acclimatization day

Today, we will have another day of acclimatization. You will head to another beautiful part of the Khumbu region, Chhukung offer you the magnificent views of the Mt. Makalu, Island Peak, Peak 38 etc.

Day 08. Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940m/16,210ft), 4-5 hours

The valley now becomes barren of vegetation as you walk up towards Lobuche, but your attention will be firmly on the snow-capped peaks, which soar above you. The path joins the trail below Thugla and gives beautiful views of Cholatse across the valley. The path can become quite rocky in places and it is important to watch your step. After another steep ascent, Tawache and Nuptse are particularly spectacular form Lobuche, towering almost 2 kilometers directly overhead.

Day 09. Lobuche to Everest base camp (5,364m/17,598ft) and back to Gorakshep (5,164m/16,942ft), 7-8 hours

Today, the walk towards Everest is along the Khumbu glacier. You will reach the small village of Gorakhshep, where you will be able to have lunch. After having your lunch, the trail will lead you to the Everest base camp. Everest base camp gives you an unforgettable view of Khubutse, Pumori, Changtse and Khumbu ice fall instead of Everest.

Day 10. Gorakshep (5,164m/16,942ft) to Kalapatthar (5,645m/18,519ft) and to Dzong La (4,830m/15,846ft), 5-6 hours

The ascent of Kalapatthar or ‘Black Rock’ will offer the best views of Everest. At the top you will see a 360-degree view of some of the highest peaks in the world including Pumori, Everest and Lhotse, the Tibetan peak Changtse, Nuptse and countless other smaller peaks. You will then descend and return to Lobuche and continue follow your footsteps towards Cho La pass, the walk to Cho La and Gokyo will offer spectacular views of Amadablam, Makalu, Baruntse, Cho Oyu, Cholatse, Tawoche etc.

Day 11. Dzong La (4,830m/15,846ft) to Gokyo lake(4,800m/13,249ft) via Thangnak (4,700m/15,420ft) after crossing Cho La pass (5,420m/17,782ft), 7-8 hours

Today, we start with a gentle climb at first hours towards the Cho La pass. The trail crosses the glacier which is marked by cairns. Once we reach Cho La pass, the trail goes downward to Thangnak. We then continue our trek passing by the lakes at Gokyo which pours down to the western division of the Ngozumpa glacier. We go diagonally through the three outstanding lakes and traverse the third lake, Dudh Pokhari, and on the East bank we can mark the community of Gokyo. Walking along the lake, you can view the splendid summits of Cho Oyu and Gyachung Kang.

Day 12. Gokyo lake (4,800m/13,249ft) to Gokyo Ri (5,357m/17,575ft) and back to Dole (4,090m/13,419ft), 5-6 hours

We trek to Gokyo Ri, also known as Gokyo Peak, at an elevation of5,357m/17,575ft for panoramic views of snowcapped mountains such as Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Nagpai Gosum, Cholatse, Tawoche and more as well as the views of Ngozumpa glaciers and Gokyo lakes. We then return to Gokyo lake for breakfast and retrace our steps down to Dole.

Day 13. Dole (4,090m/13,419ft) to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280ft), 4-5 hours

Today, our trek moves down to Namche Bazaar and leads up steeply for around 1 hour to Mong La. Here, you can observe beautiful views of Thamserku, Ama Dablam, Kusum Kangaru, Tawache peak and Konde-Ri. Again, the trail rises down continuously until Namche Bazaar.

Day 14. Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280ft) to Lukla (2850m/9,350ft), 7-8 hours

From Namche, our route moves toward Phakding treating you to the stunning scenery of Sherpa villages, snow-capped mountains, lush hills and deep forests all along the way. After reaching Namche, we come across a suspension bridge and arrive Monjo. We then descend downward to Phakding along the Dudhkoshi river. We follow the tracks of the Dudh Koshi river to Lukla. We pass several Sherpa villages and cross a suspension bridge above Thado Koshi along the way.

Day 15. Lukla (2,850m/9,350ft) to Kathmandu by plane

Catch your connecting flight back to Kathmandu with great memories of Everest and the great Himalayas. Free day.

Day 16. Kathmandu: sightseeing and free shopping day
After breakfast take an excursion visit. Today we will go for sightseeing Swyambhunath, Pasupatinath temple, Bouddhanath and Patan. World heritage site and freely shopping day. Evening there will be a typical nepali dinner organized for you in the typical nepali restaurant.

Day 17. Final departure
You will have breakfast and you will be free until your departure. A representative will take you airport for your final departure.
