ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP

Excellent first experience in the Himalayas. The Sanctuary valley and the night at base camp with amazing sunrise and sunset.

This trek combines a visit to various magnificent places in the Annapurna region of the Himalayas. From the world famous viewpoint of Poon Hill we should witness a superb Himalayan sunrise. At the Annapurna Base Camp (4.130m), a natural amphitheater known as Annapurna sanctuary, mighty Himalaya giants like Annapurna 1, Annapurna 3, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, Glacier Dome and Fish Tail (Macchapuchhare) rise above 7.000 and 8.000 meter. Before entering the Annapurna Sanctuary you will spend a night at the Machhapuchhare Base Camp where a stupendous mountain vista will appear before us.

OUTLINE ITINERARY

  • Day 01:  International Arrival in Kathmandu [1,300m/4,264 ft] – Transfer to Hotel
  • Day 02: Kathmandu – Pokhara  (820m)
  • Day 03: Pokhara – Kande (1720m) – Tolka (1700m)
  • Day 04: Tolka – Chomrong (2170m)
  • Day 05: Chomrong – Dovan (2600m)
  • Day 06: Dovan – Deaurali (3230m)
  • Day 07: Deaurali – Annapurna  Base Camp (4130m)
  • Day 08: Annapurna Base Camp – Bamboo(2310m)
  • Day 09: Bamboo – Jhinu Dada (Hot Spring, 1780m)
  • Day 10: Jhinu Dada (Hot Spring)  – Nayapul – Pokhara
  • Day 11: Pokhara – Kathmandu
  • Day 12:  Transfer to Airport for your departure flight

DETAIL ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1400m): Meet our representative at Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel. All the required documents, photos, passport copies etc. are collected for the preparation of all legal documents required during the trek. On the same day you’ll be meeting your guide for the trek.

Day 02: Kathmandu – Pokhara (1350m): After the breakfast we will be heading to Pokhara by private transport which takes around 6-7 hours. On the way we would be seeing the beautiful view of the Trishuli River which is flowing side by side throughout the most of our way to Pokhara. We even get to witness the people doing rafting in Trishuli river.

Day 03: Pokhara – Kande (1720m) – Tolka (1700m): Today is the first day of our trekking and we start our journey by private transport vehicle to Kande. Then we start trekking to Tolka. After walking around 3 hours up hill and around 2 hours downhill we reach our destination i.e.Tolka. Our trekking is all the way through the forest and we get to see the beautiful view of mountains (Mt. Annapurna South, Mt. Macchapuchre, Mt. Himchuli, Mt. Dhaulagiri and so on) and nature throughout the trek.

Day 04: Tolka – Chomrong (2170m): As usual we start our trek after breakfast to our next destination and today’s destination will be Chomrong. It takes around 5-6 hours going up and down hill all the way through rivers, bridges, streams, springs, local villages etc. Passing the places like Landruk, Jhinu dada which are themselves one of the famous tourism destination we reach Chomrong. From Chomrong Mt. Annapurna South and Mt. Fishtail seems very close.

Day 05: Chomrong – Dovan (2600m): Today we actually enter the valley of the ABC. It takes around 5-6 hours to reach Dovan by walking equally up and down hill and through the forests. As the altitude increases the view of the mountains seems more pleasant and beautiful.

Day 06: Dovan – Deaurali (3230m): As altitude continues to rises we start walking quite slower than usual so we stay at Deaurali which takes around 4-5 hours with all the way through forests. There is more probability of seeing the snow from today.

Day 07: Deaurali – MBC (3800m) – ABC (4130m): As we approach closer and closer to the mountains it starts getting colder. On the way to ABC we first reach MBC which takes around 3 hours and further 2hours to ABC. We will be surrounded by mountains from all sides and the density of the vegetations and plants will be thinner and thinner. It is the best and one of the nearest view point of the mountains(Mt. Annapurna I , Mt. Annapurna South , Mt. Fishtail ,Mt. Gangapurna , Mt. Annapurna II and III and much more).

Day 08: ABC – MBC – Bamboo (2310m): We will be waking early in the morning to see the pleasing view sun rise through the mountain ranges. And after the breakfast we start our trek down to Bamboo through same way back down hill leaving MBC behind. Overnight in Bamboo.

Day 09: Bamboo – Jhinu danda (Hot Spring, 1780m): After the breakfast we start our trek down to Jhinu danda through stones steps most of the time. We will be at Chomrong one more time while we trek down to Jhinu danda. As soon as we reach Jhinu danda we will be going to hot spring to become fresh and relax for sometimes.

Day 10: Jhinu danda – Nayapul – Pokhara (830m): After the breakfast we start our trek down to Nayapul which takes around 5-6 hours following the Modi River all the way down to Nayapul with several villages on the way. When we arrive Nayapul we go to Pokhara by 1 hour drive.

Day 11: Pokhara – Kathmandu (1350m): Today we will be back to Kathmandu and as trip comes to an end. We can prefer to go by tourist bus  transport (6-7 hours drive) or can fly by domestic air (35minutes flight) too.

Day 12: Kathmandu, Departure: After breakfast.
